Bringing heirloom flavour back to Bali.
A young farm with an old-fashioned belief — that a tomato should, above all, taste wonderful.
PuriTomato is Bali’s best heirloom grower — a highland farm in Baturiti raising rare tomatoes, vegetables, flowers and roots, both hydroponically and organically.

Meet the Queen of heirloom.
PuriTomato was founded in 2020 by Demi Indriyanti. It began, like many good things that year, as a way through the pandemic — a small plan to grow something genuinely worthwhile while the world paused.
That small plan took root. The farm has since grown into a real organisation, with a team who love coming to grow these tomatoes from ancient times — and a passion, above all, for the survival of an old food that is tastier, more colourful and far more versatile than the common garden variety.
“My passion has always been the survival of this ancient food — tastier and more versatile than the common tomato.”Demi Indriyanti, Founder

Old seed, kept true.
An heirloom is an open-pollinated variety — one that grows true from its own seed, generation after generation. These are the tomatoes growers selected and shared for their flavour, long before uniformity and shelf life took over.
Many heirlooms quietly disappeared because they were never built for the modern supermarket. We grow them precisely because they were built for the table: ribbed, striped, dusky and golden, and unmistakably full of taste.
Four ideas the farm is built on.
Food for loved ones
We grow the kind of food we would want to eat ourselves — and give to the people we love.
Made with heart
Given with care and grown with passion. That, we believe, is something you can taste.
Kind to the land
Grown without harming the environment, or the life that depends on it.
Heritage kept alive
Open-pollinated heirlooms, saved true-to-seed so they are never lost.
